Over the course of the last 25 years Dilana Rugs has established itself as a workshop, run by expert craftsmen in hand-tufting, who host artists wanting to explore this modern media with its roots firmly planted in history.

Dilana works within a dialogue between creativity and technical possibility, guiding visual artists through the process and integrating other partners with a the same level of expertise in creating colors and their color-fastness. They create numbered, limited edition works that will be treasured as much for their aesthetic value as their tactile luxury.

Good design is about integrity to the medium. Dilana’s designs are not simply the conversion of paintings, prints or other works into carpets, but a rethinking of ideas to the possibilities of textured items primarily designed for horizontal floor surfaces.
